About us
Founded in 2012 as a pop-up shop within Silver Falls Vintage, Tusk has thrived in the Queen and Ossington area over the last 6 years and is a main staple in Toronto for modern classic clothing and accessories.
Owner Nicole Freedman launched the space in an effort to bring under the radar brands to the neighbourhood and to outfit friends with pieces that could easily fit work and weekend life, at an affordable price point. Nicole comes from a fashion background, her parents and family members have owned boutiques in Toronto since the ‘70’s, and have influenced the attentive and personalized service that Tusk is known for.
Shoppers can find everything from bags and accessories, to denim and comfortable basics with a strong attention to detail. Nicole enjoys incorporating both local Toronto brands as well as international hard to find labels, often launching the Canadian markets for many new brands.
The new space reflects the clean aesthetic of the clothes. Located next to Trinity Bellwoods, Tusk is more than just a clothing store, it’s the perfect Saturday afternoon stroll destination.
We are a welcoming and inclusive space, committed to discovering new brands and are continually seeking new voices in fashion and wellness to bring into our space.
Tusk will be contributing a portion of sales to diverse organizations committed to fighting against inequality, racism and in support of access to housing, food, health and well being of our community.
In 2020 so far we have made contributions to The Toronto Restaurant Workers Relief Fund, Nellie’s Shelter, The Black Mental Health Matters Fund and the Black Health Alliance among others.
